Definition

Sutherland defined transmutation as the following:
‘It is a change into another nature, substance, form or condition’ [1]
He goes on to relate this to a ‘potential in the center; the function, a different condition’. [2]
Transmutation is about the interchangeability of energy and matter.

Derivation
